I cannot think of anyone more capable than Suman Roy to carry the banner for the residents of Scarborough southwest. Making the lives of his neighbours better is a " Pure Passion Project " for him, not a rung on the career ladder. This is the man who jumped into the fray when the Scarborough Food Bank closed, to create " Feed Scarborough" on a moment's notice,. The alternative would have meant thousands of families going without food for weeks or months. That now has multiple locations and ways to serve the community.. During those years, he listened to all those families, and their dreams of safe, economically thriving, and affordable communities in which to raise their children, with better transit and better services.
I love Scarborough. It is where I raised my children . But we all know some parts of it have been underserved and overlooked. Given Suman's track record , he is where I would place my hopes for the future.

I first met Suman during the pandemic trying to secure food for our TCHC building. Suman jumped into action, made sure our residents were taken c are of, and now three years later, Feed Scarborough provides hot meals as well as fresh fruits and veggies, and bottled water to our residents' doors every week.
He also represents us on the Police Liaison Committee and ensures that our ideas and concerns are heard.
Just look at the man's resume. He's well versed & well experienced. Look where Feed Scarborough started and where it is now, I call him Mr. Accomplisher.

What I appreciate most about Suman is the deep commitment he has made to our community here in Scarborough Southwest. He shows this commitment hrough his contributions on the Health Board, and Scarborough Arts Board, and most importantly through Feed Scarborough where he feeds 7,500 a week! I find Suman to be a sincere man with integrity and perseverance. I have had the opportunity to personally work with him on a number of initiatives so I am more than happy to endorse Suman as our next Councilor for Ward 20 in Scarborough Southwest.
